Benefit obtained
Numerous Caprari machines are used in the mines situated in the Andean Cordillera sector of the II (second) and III (third) Regions of Chile. Some 410 electric pumps operate in the most important mine, the Escondida copper mine (near Antofagasta).
Submersible electric pumps are mainly used in this mine, and are installed in the wells that supply the extraction installations with groundwater. Other submersible pumps drain the mine and ensure that the mine employees are provided with drinking water.
