Initial situation
Firefighting unit equipped with Back Pull-Out Standard pumps (NC series) + Vertical multistage electric pump.
Our partner needed to implement a firefighting system capable of operating with seawater, a fluid known for its aggressiveness and complexity.
The main challenge was to ensure continuous operation, corrosion resistance, and maximum safety without compromise. The system had to be immediately ready for start-up, even under the harshest environmental conditions, and able to maintain stable performance over time.
Caprari solution
To meet these requirements, we supplied a complete booster set consisting of:
- two pumps built with materials suitable for seawater handling, designed to withstand the aggressive characteristics of the fluid;
- diesel engines coupled to the pumps, a strategic choice to ensure continuous operation even in case of power failure;
- a control system ensuring immediate start-up and maintaining hydraulic parameters within the limits required by firefighting standards.
The result is a system that combines mechanical robustness with advanced corrosion protection, ensuring reliable long-term performance.
