Stormwater Pumping Systems for Railway Underpasses

The project involves the construction and upgrading of stormwater pumping systems within the infrastructure works associated with the underground section of the AVE high-speed railway line.

The project includes the supply of a turnkey integrated solution, covering all operational phases required to ensure efficient, safe, and regulatory-compliant operation. Specifically, the scope includes:

Supply of electric pumps, properly sized to handle the expected stormwater flow rates, including intense rainfall and exceptional weather events.
Fabrication of steelwork and piping systems, designed to ensure mechanical strength, durability, and seamless integration with existing civil works.
Installation of valves, required for flow control and regulation, as well as for system safety and maintenance purposes.
Electrical control panels, complete with automation and protection systems, designed to guarantee reliable operation even under critical operating conditions.
Engineering design and legalization procedures, including all technical and administrative documentation required for commissioning and compliance with applicable regulations.

BENEFITS ACHIEVED

The entire system was designed to ensure the rapid and effective removal of stormwater from underground areas and railway underpasses, preventing flooding risks and guaranteeing the continuity and safety of the high-speed railway infrastructure.

Thanks to the integrated approach covering supply, installation, and assembly, the project enables optimized implementation schedules and high-quality standards, while ensuring operational reliability, ease of maintenance, and long service life of the installations.
