Pumps for cooling
Prior situation
Remove and replace existing Flowserve VTP pumps with additional cooling tower pump. Existing pumps were dated and inefficient, maintenance becoming an issue due to constant breakdowns. The original cooling pumps were not large enough to cope with increasing demand.
Caprari solution
No.3 P14C/8/45/4A (Dyno Pumps – 110kW)
No.2 P18C/14-18/45/1F (Cooling Tower Pumps – 55kW), all pumps fitted with Stainless Steel impellers, Bronze bearings, driveheads fitted with cartridge type mechanical seals and motors suitable for inverter drive with insulated NDE bearing.
Benefit obtained
Caprari has added additional cooling towers to the system to increase capacity and lower maintenance costs.
