Mina de Cobre (Seville)
Spain
Mine
Initial situation
Need to increase the head of the plant while draining and reclaiming the land surrounding the mining area during the drilling phase.
Caprari proposal
4 base-mounted units equipped with motors of up to 75 HP.
Benefits obtained
Cobre las Cruces is one of the richest copper deposits in the world, located in the heart of Spain.
The mining operation is carried out by strip pit drilling. The final shaft envisaged by the expansion and modernisation project is 1,600 metres deep and 900 metres in diameter.
All our equipment will be used for the reclamation of the mine shaft, the diameter of which is to be further enlarged.
In addition, with the lowering of the water table, which requires a much greater head than the previous one, the customer chose a product that could guarantee high performance and reach the foreseen heights.
